  7. Lastly when the ingredients have started to boil then add up the rice slowly and be stirring it.
  8. After stirring then close the pot and allow it to steam for 8-10 mins on a low heat and serve…garnish with some parsley.

Add the dry red chillies, saute for a few seconds. Add the chopped onions, cook until they become slightly translucent. Then add the diced tomatoes, beans and grated ginger, salt, red chilli powder and turmeric powder. Masala Rice can be served with a side of yogurt or raita, pickle, and papad. However, this rice recipe goes very well with the dal recipe, like dal tadka or palak dal.
